Barcelona Rock Fest confirms today a number of new bands for its ninth edition, scheduled for June 26, 27, 28, and 29, 2025, in Santa Coloma de Gramenet (Barcelona). These are: Dirkschneider, Exodus, Obus, Wolfmother, Dark Tranquillity, Angelus Apatrida, Reno Renardo, Lèpoka, Carry, Ciclonautas, La Gripe y Tú, Gloryhammer, Malaputa, Lujuria, Grave Digger, From Fall to Spring, Motörhits and The Electric Alley.
These confirmations join the major acts already previously announced, including SLIPKNOT, SCORPIONS, JUDAS PRIEST, SAVATAGE, RUNNING WILD, ALESTORM, DORO, PHIL CAMPBELL AND THE BASTARD SONS, INSOMNIUM, STRYPER and LYNYRD SKYNYRD.

CICLONAUTAS
Formed in 2011, Ciclonautas has established itself as one of the most prominent bands in Spanish rock. With their debut album Qué tal? (2014) and a successful career that includes collaborations with Robe, Loquillo, and El Drogas, the band has toured Spain and Latin America, even performing at the River Plate Stadium. Their most recent album, Camping del Hastío (2021), and the Girando el Hastío tour continue to achieve great success. In 2024, they celebrated their tenth anniversary with Ciclogénesis Magnitud X and have released new singles such as “El animal” and “Huellas”.
LA GRIPE Y TÚ
La Gripe, formed in 2001 and with original members of Platero y Tú, reinvented itself in 2023 as La Gripe y Tú after a successful tribute concert to Platero y Tú. With a renewed sound and the addition of new musicians, their Platero y Tú tour has been a huge success in cities such as Valencia, Barcelona, and Madrid. In 2024, they continue to sell out shows and their popularity continues to grow.
WOLFMOTHER
Andrew Stockdale, leader of Wolfmother, released their sixth album Rock Out in 2020 during the pandemic. This album, a mix of energetic and emotional rock, keeps the spirit of classic rock alive. Despite the pandemic, the album has been a success, and the band remains a major figure in international rock’n’roll.
GLORYHAMMER
With their new album Legends from Beyond the Galactic Terrorvortex, Gloryhammer returns with an epic fantasy and power story. This power metal band has established itself as one of the genre’s most important groups, offering a heroic and energetic sound that captivates fans worldwide.
MALAPUTA
After eight years of absence, Malaputa, El Piñas project (from the band Marea) returns with their new album De raíz, an energetic and raw rock proposal that shows the maturity of the band. With the addition of Kolibrí Díaz from Marea, Malaputa is ready to start a new chapter in the Spanish rock scene.
LUJURIA
With over 30 years in the business, Lujuria remains one of the most important names in Spanish heavy metal. With lyrics that address sex and social commitment, the band continues to break barriers and maintain its relevance in the international scene.
GRAVE DIGGER
Grave Digger, pioneers of German heavy and power metal, continue to be an unshakable reference in the scene. After their revitalization with the addition of Axel Ritt, the band keeps delivering powerful albums and live shows that maintain their status within global metal.
CARRY
The solo project of Javi Carry, former member of Crisix, fuses punk, hardcore, crossover, and metal. Their debut album Teatro Humanitario has been well received by both fans and the press, solidifying their unique and personal style within the Catalan rock scene.
ANGELUS APATRIDA
Angelus Apatrida continues to dominate the Spanish thrash metal scene with their recognized style and powerful live performances. With their recent album Aftermath, which reached number 4 on the sales charts, they continue to cement their status as one of the most important international metal bands.
DIRKSCHNEIDER
In 2025, Udo Dirkschneider will celebrate the 40th anniversary of Balls To The Wall with an extensive tour across Europe. This project, which honors the iconic band Accept, promises to be an unforgettable event for all classic heavy metal fans.
EXODUS
Exodus, the flagship band of thrash metal, returns with their eleventh album Persona Non Grata, exploring social and cultural themes. The band remains a key reference in the genre, continuing to offer explosive sound in their live performances.
DARK TRANQUILLITY
Dark Tranquillity, pioneers of melodic death metal, are one of the most influential bands in their genre. With a career spanning over 30 years, they continue to experiment with their sound and leave a mark on the international scene.
LÈPOKA
Lèpoka, one of the most representative folk rock bands in Spain, has built a strong connection with their audience in both Spain and Latin America. With their new album Dios está Borracho (2024), they promise to offer unforgettable shows for their fans.
EL RENO RENARDO
El Reno Renardo has become a legend of humorous metal in Spain. With their sarcastic style and songs ranging from hobbit adventures to tech themes, the band has accumulated over 15 million plays on YouTube and continues to fill their concerts with the “Horda de Orcos” (Horde of Orcs).
OBÚS
Obús, one of the most important heavy metal bands in Spain, has been a landmark in the scene since their formation in the 80s. With over a million records sold and a lasting legacy, they continue to offer spectacular live shows and maintain their identity in heavy metal.
FROM FALL TO SPRING
From Fall to Spring, the emerging band from southwest Germany, is making waves with their blend of melodic nu-metal. With over 100,000 followers on TikTok and collaborations with Arising Empire, the band is showing its great potential with their album RISE (2023) and their new single Cast Away.
THE ELECTRIC ALLEY
The Electric Alley is gaining ground with their unique style of classic hard rock. With their album Apache (2022) and an active European tour, they continue to establish themselves as one of the rising stars of rock in Spain.
MOTÖRHITS
Motörhits is a Motörhead tribute band from Barcelona, formed in 2011 by members with over 20 years of experience in the music scene. Their goal is to offer an authentic experience of the sound and aesthetics of the legendary British band, emulating their raw and energetic style.
From June 26 to 29, we’ll see each other again at BARCELONA ROCK FEST. There, at the Can Zam venue in Santa Coloma de Gramenet (Barcelona), we will once again honor rock and metal with all of you.
